Marlowe

Introducing Miss Marlowe R. Jennings!

Children are some of my favorite subjects to photograph, especially newborns. I always think of how I feel when looking at photos of myself and my parents while I was a baby, and I want to recreate that for others. Looking at photos of a time you cannot remember, but can see how loved you were from the start is something everyone deserves.

Suitcase Negatives

Over the weekend I finally went through an old suitcase of my grandmothers'. Inside were dozens upon dozens of old and uncared for negatives. Some showed my mother as a child, some of people no one remembers.
Tucked away in a yellowed envelope was a poorly folded roll of 35mm film from the beginning of my grandparents relationship in the early 1950's.

I have always felt that connecting with the past is important, and seeing these images of a woman that I was so close to, and love so much makes me feel that much closer to her.
